Lifeline (Personal Emergency Response System)

This is a way for the elderly to extend independence in their own homes.  Lifeline service from Connecticut VNA Partners offers easy, instant access to help, even if you can’t get to the phone, by wearing a wireless call-device 24 hours a day.  If you fall or need medical help right away and can’t reach the phone, simply press the button on the call-device.  A signal will be transmitted to an in-home monitor that will connect to an operator who can immediately dispatch emergency help.

Lifeline Services – How it Works

  • A wireless wrist or pendant call-device is worn.
  • A button on the device allows you to talk to an operator who can summon an emergency response.
  • Lifeline operators contact the ambulance, rescue, or fire station closest to your home.  Operators can also contact your nearest family member.
  • Lifeline operators may offer self-help instructions and will remain in contact with you until emergency responders arrive.
  • There is a monthly fee for this service.
